Sue Abbott

I have been a member of One Step On Embroidery and Textile Group for three years and my work has been included in the following exhibitions: 'Architecture',  'Air', and 'Written Word'.

I completed City & Guilds Part 1 in Embroidery  and then studied for a Diploma in Embroidery.

I enjoy most aspects of embroidery and particularly enjoy studying its history.

I live just a few minutes away from The School of Stitched Textiles which is very convenient and also very tempting. Last summer I spent four days at the 'What Lies Beneath' Summer School which was excellent.

In the future I would love to develop my
skills in restoration work.

Presently I am working on designs for
our groups next exhibition which is
entitled 'Handbags & Gladrags'.
